About Nelda Rocha

Nelda Rocha has dedicated her life to education, spending 29 years as a classroom teacher in BISD. Throughout her career, she has worked directly with students, supported families, and collaborated with educators to create meaningful learning experiences.

Her connection to BISD runs deep. She attended BISD schools, raised her children in the district, and now has grandchildren currently enrolled. She understands the district from every perspective, as a student, an educator, and a family member.

After attending a recent school board meeting, Nelda felt a renewed sense of purpose. She saw an opportunity to bring a stronger classroom perspective to board decisions and to help guide the district toward even greater success.

She believes leadership should be thoughtful, focused, and always centered on what is best for students. That belief is what drives her campaign.
